IATF 2023

All actors in the automotive value chain from the continent and around the world may network at the Africa Automotive Show. The Africa Automotive Show at IATF 2023 also fosters interregional cooperation as states get ready to trade under the AfCFTA. The 3rd Intra African Trade Fair (IATF2023), which takes place in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, from November 21–27, 2023, will include the Africa Automotive Show.

The Africa Motor Show

The Africa Motor Show is the ideal venue for gathering everything together actors in the value chain of automobiles from the region and beyond as the objective of the growth and industrialization of the auto industry in South Africa is achieved.

The Africa Automotive Show is intended to be the most significant gathering for trade and business development for all automotive role-players, from raw material suppliers to vehicle and component manufacturers, dealers, importers, aftermarket parts manufacturers, and suppliers, as well as those from the financial and allied industries - from all parts of the continent. This is the case, according to Andrew Binning, director of the Africa Automotive Show.

Binning views the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM) Africa Automotive Show as a key initiative of the cross-sectoral IATF2023, which will include a specific automotive show, an elevated gathering and networking events. The subsequent year, per week and conference with participants from all facets of the value chain of automobiles would be conducted in Cote d'Ivoire with just an emphasis on business and alliances fostering the extension of regional automobile value chains.

Expected Audience

It is expected that 35,000 attendees from 75 countries will attend IATF2023, that is being arranged by the African Output Bank (Afreximbank) in partnership with the African Union as well as the African Continental Free Trade Neighborhood (AfCFTA), and that 1600 exhibitors will participate. Trade and investment contracts worth $43 billion are also expected to be signed at the event.

Binning praised the African Automotive Show as an eccentric and practical platform for enterprises to reach an integrated African market of over 1.3 billion people with a GDP of over US$3.5 trillion generated by the African Continental Free Trade Area." The African Automotive Show is a part of IATF2023. According to Dave Coffey, CEO of AAAM, Cote d'Ivoire and the West African region provide a suitable and appropriate setting for this version of "Africa's top vehicle expo."

Cote d'Ivoire is presently developing an attractive automotive value proposition

This year's Africa Automotive Show is a perfect time to attend due to the expansion of the continent's automotive industry and our expectations of trade between assembly centers as local value chains emerge. For example, Cote d'Ivoire is presently developing an attractive automotive value proposition that, over long and short periods, would greatly boost the country's economy and the region. This would promote scale and real industry, according to Coffey, in collaboration with Ghana as well as other West African nations that build out their ecological automotive niche.
